GL2007, these shocks give a Medium Sport Ride, recommended for Defender 90 Rear (light to medium weight Land Rovers)
GL2009, These are the same shock but with a firmer valving, better suited for use on the Rear of 110/130s and 90s that are heavily loaded. (Land Rovers that are regularly carrying extra weight or towing)

These OME shock absorbers are for our Explorer Suspension Kit, which is designed for those looking to improve the suspension performance of their Defenders which are used on road and off road. They are a Pin/Pin fitting and will require our Adventurer / Explorer Pin/Pin Rear Shock Mounts GL1171 to fit them to the rear of your Defender. It is a known problem for the upper Eye fitting on standard fitment rear shocks to break off due to lack of sideways movement. A Pin fixing allows more movement in all directions without breaking off as has been well proven over the years by my +5inch Challenge Pin/Pin Rear Shock mount. A Pin/Pin Rear Shock provides much improved reliability over the Standard Eye/Pin fitting.

• only without Anti Roll Bars fitted
• Standard Ride Height up to 3” Lift
As these shock absorbers are longer travel than standard extended Brake Hoses will be required along with, Spring Retainers and spring Re-locators and if fitted with a lift Spring you will need Extended Bump Stops.
They come ready assembled with the bushes and our bush isolation washers on each end, (these bush isolation washers are very important, to help stop the pin of the shock wearing away, all our shocks come with them ready fitted) see the bush isolation washers here – GL1076
The OME Sport Shocks are designed to provide a superior ride and handling experience compared to other shock absorbers. This is thanks to the multi-stacked rebound and compression valving, once the shock is compressed it is hard to pull back out. This feature helps to prevent body roll and bounce, while still maintaining a comfortable ride both on and off the road.
If your Defender 90 is very light on the rear and you do not carry any extra weight and you would like more comfort, you could use GL2001 Pin/Pin front shock absorbers on the rear as these are much softer valved, you will need our GL1171 Pin/Pin shock mounts to fit them.
