Used For:- Nut & Bolt Threads, Anti Corrosion Protection between alloy & steel fittings on Land Rovers all Wheel Bearings, Propshaft UJs & Slider, CV joints.
We also use this grease on every nut bolt and washer to stop any corrosion and bolts seizing up, we find it better than copper grease as it doesn’t dry up.
When fitting our mud shield kits I recommend using this grease on all nuts/bolts and on all the steel and galvanized fittings that bolt to alloy as it acts like a barrier to stop corrosion, if brushed onto the galvanized brackets it will help stop white salt marks that occurs from road salt in wet conditions.
I use this grease on everything that is listed above, it is also supplied with all the propshafts I sell as it is the best grease I have found for the UJs and the Sliders to help them last on lifted Land Rovers, this grease can also be used in the SWIVEL HUBS and CV joints on the Land Rovers and including the wheel bearings, it is a black grease and turns into a semi liquid grease when warm, this then allows the grease to lubricate everywhere,
Ashcroft Transmissions also recommend this grease to be used with their Heavy Duty CV joints.
K48 is a lithium / mineral oil based grease with additional molybdenum disulphide to create a grease ideal for protecting against shock loading.
K48 is recommended for use on splines, plain bearings, CV and universal joints and as an anti-fretting grease.
Lithium Moly Black Grease is manufactured from a Lithium soap base and highly refined mineral oil, with added Molybdenum Disulphide to provide protection against seizure in conditions when ordinary greases would fail. Also included in this grease are additives to stop corrosion, rust and oxidation. Additionally this grease shows excellent resistance to severe mechanical working.
K48 is a premium quality multi-purpose grease for use in all anti-friction and plain bearings subjected to high load conditions.
