A known problem with shock absorbers is stones chipping the paint off causing the shock to rust, especially the rear shocks as stones from the front tyres get flung to the shock absorbers.
By using this heat shrink you will be protecting the shock absorber as the stones will now be able to bounce off the shock absorber, not causing the paint to chip.
One 800mm length is enough to do 2 shock absorbers.
Can also be used on Steering Dampers.
The maximum diameter for the Heat Shrink is 61mm.
If you want Heat Shrink for Discovery 2 Front Shock Absorbers you will need the larger 80mm Heat Shrink as this 60mm Heat Shrink wont go over the lower bush pin of the shock absorber, for the larger 80mm Heat Shrink the Part Number is :- GL1254
When heating the heat shrink do it nice and slow you will get a more even finish.
